Beta Programme Terms
Draft. This text has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel and may change
before or during the beta programme.
These terms govern access to the ResusSim beta programme ("the Software"). By creating a beta account you agree to them. Beta access is personal, granted at the sole discretion of the ResusSim team, and may be revoked at any time, including for breach of these terms.
1. Beta software — no warranty, not a medical device
- The Software is pre-release and provided as is, without warranty of any kind. It may contain defects, lose data, or change or stop working without notice.
- The Software is a training simulator. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and must never be used for the care, diagnosis or treatment of real patients.
2. Confidentiality (NDA)
- The Software, its features, materials, documentation, performance characteristics, and any non-public information about the beta programme are confidential.
- You will not share, demonstrate, publish, or discuss confidential information with anyone outside your approved testing context — including screenshots, recordings, benchmark results, or descriptions of unreleased features — without prior written permission.
- Feedback you submit (bug reports, suggestions, ideas) may be used by the ResusSim team without restriction or compensation to improve the product.
3. No reverse engineering
- You will not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, models, algorithms, or protocols of any part of the Software, nor probe, scan, or circumvent its licensing, security, or update mechanisms, except to the extent such a restriction is unenforceable under applicable law.
- You will not copy, modify, redistribute, sublicense, sell, or make the Software available to any third party.
4. Accounts and data
- One account per person; keep your credentials to yourself. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- We store the account details you provide (name, email), your acceptance of these terms, and operational data needed to run the beta — including in-app feedback you file, which may include your email, the page it was filed from, browser details, an anonymous install identifier, app version and platform.
- Marketing email is opt-in only, via the separate checkbox at signup, and you can withdraw that consent at any time; it is not a condition of beta access.
- Simulation content you create (scenarios, sessions, recordings) stays on the machines you run the Software on; it is not uploaded to us.
5. Term and termination
- Either side may end beta participation at any time; the ResusSim team may suspend or disable accounts that breach these terms.
- Sections 2 (Confidentiality) and 3 (No reverse engineering) survive the end of the beta programme.
